I love that Scooby was right by the kids side when they came into the den to see what E.B. brought them.
My kids know how to give you the reaction you want – shock and awe!
Con couldn’t wait to put on her accessories: Hello Kitty shades and new slip-slops (flip-flops) for school!
As a Mom, I was thrilled that Crawford was so excited to get more “Jack & Annie” books! Man, that tells you how quickly they grow up. He actually wanted chapter books.
Don’t forget – “there’s candy in der!” A quote from Crawford’s 2nd Easter!
Crawford got all of the gear he’ll need for t-ball. He’s probably still packing his “bat bag”!
I had to read some of the book before hitting the shower to get ready for church.
Which means, Daddy got to read Chapter 2.
Against all things “McCain,” after church, we went to the Club for Easter lunch. It’s just so nice not to have to do the dishes! I love.love.love. Easter family pics!
The food was really very good. Conlee loved the prime rib of all things!
The egg hunt wasn’t scheduled to start until 12:30 – but when the kids headed to see the bunny at 11:45 – the hunt was on!
After telling my kids to NOT hunt the eggs – everyone else was…
…so off the went. I love the pic on the bottom right below.
I warned you I love Easter pics!
My family! Really wish J-J would have scootched over a bit
It’s rare that we get a pic just the 2 of us!
Remember I said the hunt was scheduled for 12:30. At 12:10 – they announced that the kids needed to put the eggs back. Some kids melted down. Not mine. They loved hiding them for the kids almost more than they did hunting them.
I tried to convince them to stay for the “real” hunt – but they were over it. Crawford looked at me and said, “But Mom, I’m going to the range.”
I loved that the Grandparents all got to see him hit. Man, dude can let it eat. Can’t wait to start junior golf in May!
Con, she may not be very good – but she sure is cute!
Love Father & Son on the range.
Love Con catching a ride with J-J and Pops!
Can you tell we were having a blast all by ourselves? I convinced Con to go back and join in the real hunt. But that didn’t last too long. She was totally over the hunting!
Now for the rarest pic of them all…J-J & Sue-Sue.
The kids literally left the egg hunt without one egg in their baskets. But, they didn’t care. All they wanted to do was come home and eat their chocolate bunnies!
And there she is…J.D. (aka – Joe Dirt).
While the kids got a much needed nap, Bo and I played “bunny” and hid the eggs the kids had dyed. They looked so pretty against the blooming plants in the back yard. Bo and I loved watching the Masters outside while we hid the eggs. The double Eagle was AMAZING!
You know me, I desperately wanted pics of the kids in pastel “Easter” clothes – but they wouldn’t hear of it. They had to wear the new stuff E.B. brought them.
Speaking of E.B….apparently he also stopped in at J-J and Sue-Sue’s house! They brought them their goodies after nap.
Is it just me…or does Crawford look so big in the pic below? Here’s hoping he plays in the “bigs” one day and I can pull this out to sell to the press
Easter is just so much more fun when it’s warm and you can be outside. Loved that Scooby helped them find all of the eggs.
They counted all of their findings. It was so funny that while Crawford had no problem “dying” the eggs purple and pink when we colored them…he refused to pick up any of those “girl” eggs!
We spent the rest of the day enjoying the best round of golf I’ve ever watched. While we were all cheering for Phil, none of us was disappointed when Bubba pulled out the win!
We enjoyed playing some t-ball and just relaxing.
We then pulled a true “McCain” move. Since we’d eaten at the Club, we had no left overs. So we had dinner from China CafĂ©
What an amazing wrap up to a great weekend. And guess what? My weekend isn’t over! I’m off tomorrow. Planning to go see Hunger Games. Can’t wait!
